Reproduction
We offer a wide variety of routine reproductive services. Our aim is to have a happy and healthy mare and foal. Ensuring your mare is in good reproductive health prior to breeding is the first step in the process. This includes palpation and a full ultrasound evaluation of the reproductive tract, as well as assessment of the mare’s conformation. Uterine culture and cytology are often recommended.
We offer fresh and frozen A.I., as well as follicle scanning to aid in timing for live cover. We will do ovulation checks, as will as treating any post breeding problems.
We will also help you with any of your more difficult mares to breed. This may involve more in depth investigations such as a uterine biopsy, or treatment with PRP.
Ensuring your mare is in good health post foaling, as well as your new foals health is also a top priority for us. Examining both mare and foal with in the first 24hours of life are vital. This will make sure your foal is healthy and that your mare will be in good shape to be bred again.
